In every company I’ve worked for I encountered far too many people whose health seems ruined by the age of 40.
“I’m too old” (really??? at 40-50??), “I’m too busy”.. are some of the most commonly heard excuses.
I understand that being busy at work, working overtime, taking care of the kids… fills up one’s day.
What I refuse to accept is the fact of not being capable to make as little as 15 minutes a day of exercise at home.
Also when it comes to food, salty sandwiches, crisps and coke are also the norm. What’s the excuse for that? it takes the same amount of time buying food that is good for you.
Remember, not being good to one’s body is a sign of lack of self-love.
Here is something that works: Greens and Vegetables over crisps, Water over Coke, Pasta & chicken salad over salty sandwiches, and 15 min a day x 5 days of bodyweight exercise. That will change your health and fitness.
How to motivate yourself? You need to visualise an image of a better you. Imagine the benefits you’ll obtain e.g. being more confident on your summer holidays on the beach, being independent of using the lift, have more energy… how would you feel then? Now define what do you need to achieve that; reduce your weight by 10 kg? running 5k non-stop? Figure out the journey and commit to it.
All the best,
